PhD (Information and Communication Engineering)

Dissertation Title: Cryptographically Enforced Data Access Control in Cloud Assisted Wireless Body Area Networks.

Supervisor:   Dr K. Baskaran, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, TamilNadu, India.

  • Based on the PhD experience, Ragesh G K has successfully developed three novel cryptographic schemes for protecting Electronic Medical Records in an un-trusted Cloud Server Environment.
  • He has sound knowledge in crypto libraries such as PBC, object oriented computer languages and has published 12 referred publications of 6 of them are Thomson Reuters Indexed and 4 of them are SCOPUS indexed.

  • Dr. Ragesh G K along with 3 undergraduate student members developed a prototype of a Cloud enabled wireless body area network using unobtrusive, commercially available bio sensors that have minimum size, reduced computational complexity, (to resolve system implementation and everyday use issues). This project received financial grant from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) (Ref: 146/SPS 61/2017/KSCSTE)

• Also an on-going collaborative research is in progress with Dr. Lyes Touati, University of Technology of Compiègne (France) in the project titled “Secure Internet of Things’.

• An Energy Efficient Multi-hop Routing Protocol for Wireless Body Area Networks was developed during 2014-16 to improve the energy consumption of bio sensor nodes and to extend the network life time. The proposed technique achieved a long network lifetime, throughput and less energy consumption.

The area of postdoctoral research is Cloud Security- Access Control and Trusted data.
