The renowned Yoga Acharya Shri Rajendra Damodara Yenkannamoole and Founder of Vasudeva Kriya Yoga, presided over the convocation ceremony of Yoga Foundation Programme at Adi shankara International Centre for Peace & Yoga. The Centre at ASIET has been successfully conducting yoga courses for people who belong to all age groups and social segments for the past one year.
In league with the convocation ceremony, a one-day Yoga Retreat was organized for the experienced as well as the novices in yoga, accommodating daily yoga practices and therapeutically significant postures. The imperative for the retreat, ‘Illness to Wellness” was drawn from Vasudeva Kriya Yoga’s traditional dictations.
Shri Rajendra Damodara Yenkannamoole, Australia’s Leading Yoga Guru of Vasudeva Kriya Yoga tradition enlightened the audience with his yoga discourse and live demonstration. Sri K Anand Managing Trustee, Adi Shankara Group of Institutions, Prof. C P Jai Sankar, Adi Shankara Group’s Chief Operations Officer, Prof. Asha Panicker, Vice-Principal of ASIET spoke on the occasion.
Rajendra Ji, an engineer at Siemens Australia, highlighted the dictum “Believe in Yourself” as the essential magical formula for a happy and composed life in the present world of divided aims and total chaos. He demonstrated various yogic patterns and postures for everyone to maintain physical health, emotional balance, intellectual sharpness and spiritual composure. Ms. Sreelekshmi T N, a disciple of Acharya Rajendra and the Head of Adi Shankara International Centre for Peace & Yoga, articulated the dénouement of the workshop.
